Your Role
As a Principal Software Engineer - Backend, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems to support innovative product offerings. This role demands expertise in backend technologies, software architecture, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with front-end engineers, back-end engineers, and product managers to design and release features and enhancements.
- Continuously improve the codebase while aligning with the product roadmap.
- Identify and resolve performance and security challenges.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality.
- Address technical debt, ensuring backend systems remain scalable and maintainable.
- Advocate and implement engineering best practices across the team.
- Lead efforts to optimize and scale systems handling high-volume data.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
- Minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead role, showcasing leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and algorithmic skills.
- Ability to work independently and navigate complex technical challenges.
- Proven experience in high-scale data processing and system optimization.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks like React is a plus.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
